Most-common defect: tweeter diaphragms degrade after 20+ years. Replacement diaphragms are EUR 80-150 a pair and a 30-minute DIY job. Listen for harshness or fizz at moderate volume.
Cabinet veneer is hard to repair; prefer pairs without water rings or chipped corners. The grilles are removable; original Heresy II grilles add value.
